This course presents the concepts, terminology and structure of management information systems and overviews the roles of information technologies in organizations. It presents the systems approach used for building management information systems in organizations. Special attention is given to the functions of database and eCommerce security in the management information system

Course Description

At the completion of this course, students will:

  • Know the concepts, terminologies, and structure of Management Information Systems.
  • Understand the role of technology and Information Systems (IS) in Business Administration as tools for performance improvement.
  • Be aware of the systems approach used for building management information systems in organizations.
  • Be aware of the functions of database in the management information system.
  • Be aware of the issues of eCommerce security in the management information system.
